PokerStars launched PA Online Poker Championship with 1$ Million Tournaments

Players in the Key Stone State get ready for the most exciting Online Poker Championship. PokerStars PA, the most popular online poker room in Pennsylvania, is ready to launch its first online tournament PokerStars PACOOP 2019 at the end of this month. Certainly, PokerStars PA Online Poker Championship features 50 events and total guaranteed prize money of $1 million.

PokerStars PACOOP 2019 – How it Works

PA Online Poker business never stops to expand. With the launch of PokerStars PA on Nov. 4, FoxBet PA app is now the world’s largest online poker operator. After a successful run of 2 weeks, PokerStars PA announced the commonwealth’s first Online Poker Championship – PokerStars PACOOP 2019.

Matt Primeaux, the President of Fox Bet, said: “The Championship of Online Poker, or COOP, is one of our most prestigious events, and we’re proud to give Pennsylvania its own. As, players in PA have already shown their excitement for PokerStars, so we took things to the next level with a $1 million series guarantee and plenty of ways to get in on the action.”

The PokerStars PA online poker championship series is set to run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6 at the PokerStars website. In fact, the 50-event series includes a variety of tournaments and buy-ins starting from $30 up to $750. The PokerStars will also run satellites starting at just $1.

In addition, the tournament’s $300 main event is set on Dec. 15 with guaranteed prize money of $100,000.

PokerStars PACOOP 2019 - Promotions and Satellites

Surprisingly, PokerStars PACOOP 2019 also offers 2 different types of promotions in addition to the satellites with buy-ins as low as $1. The special promotions include:

Main Event Depositor Freeroll

PokerStars PA Online Poker Championship – How to join

To participate in the PokerStars PA Online Poker Championship, players need to have PokerStars online account. New players can download the PokerStars PA mobile app on both Android and iOS devices from the PokerStars PA website.

However, a player has to be at least 21 years of age to register for PokerStars PA account. In addition, a player needs to provide Social Security Number (SSN) and US postal address while registering for an account.

Once a player login to PokerStars’ online account on website/mobile app, click on the ‘Tournaments’ tab to access the PokerStars PACOOP 2019 section. Whereas, to participate in the tournament and play real money games, players must be physically located within the borders of Pennsylvania.

PACOOP and NJCOOP

The first-ever series held in NJ by PokerStars – NJSCOOP 2016 had over 54 tournaments and 1.1 million guaranteed prize money, which is higher in number of events and prize money than PACOOP.

PokerStars held its biggest tournament – NJSCOOP in the US market in April 2018 with a total guarantee of 1.3 million. Nevertheless, the series guarantee prize money has come down rapidly, with the recent tournament – NJCOOP in October seeing its total guarantee drop to $1 million.

In fact, Pennsylvania is the 6th most populous state in the US with a population of around 12.8 million. Whereas, New Jersey’s population count is around 8.9 million. Hence, PA has a 30% bigger potential pool. As a result, more players participate in PACOOP compared to NJCOOP.

In addition, considering the geographical location of PA, players from neighboring states (Maryland, Ohio, Delaware, New York, West Virginia, and New Jersey) expect to travel and participate in this tournament.

Live tournament players in PA and NJ often attend events in both Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Hence, scheduling PACOOP just before or after NJCOOP rather than right alongside will allow committed tournament players to play both.

Conclusion

Pennsylvania’s first Online Poker room, PokerStars, already got enormous response from the PA players. With the announcement of the PokerStars PACOOP 2019 tournament, players are now more excited than ever. This tournament is expected to run successfully as similar events already held in New Jersey. Moreover, low satellite buy-ins and promotions should attract new players to try the platform and participate in the tournament.
